Steve Hall, mayor of Bruton said: “I know that people can get a bit impatient with local government, with its plans and processes. People just want things to happen. So do I.
“However, as chair of your town council I need to be sure that the council’s priorities are the town’s priorities.
“We can’t expect local residents to pay for everything, so we also need to bring money in. We can’t bring money in without a new plan, and the plan won’t be a good plan unless people contribute.”
To engage with as many people in the town as possible community figures spearheading the new town plan will be on hand at the town’s annual Packhorse Fair event to talk to the public about what they think Bruton should focus on.
Please come along and let us know what you think!
