On 15 May at 2.00, and again at 7.00, we will be presenting our consultant’s proposals for improvements to the Library Junction. We want to hear what people think of them. The meetings, which will take place in the Community Hall, are open to everyone. There will be an opportunity to see the proposals, a short presentation from councillors and from our consultants Streets Reimagined, and plenty of time to ask questions and give feedback.
Streets Reimagined have been asked to come up with a design for reconfiguration of the junction which:
- reflects the Council’s intention to make Bruton a place where it feels easy and safe to walk around, but wrong to drive fast
- reflects the town centre’s conservation area status
- conforms to Highway Regulations and Policies
- be affordable
We now want your views on whether their design meets these objectives.
