More information on the proposed north-side development on Brewham Road

Bruton Town Council has been provided with more information about one of the proposed developments on Brewham Road. Claremont, who are proposing developing the north side, are seeking feedback. You can find out more in the linked leaflet.

They told us: “Claremont Planning Consultancy are preparing an outline planning application on behalf of Southern and Regional Developments for the residential development of the site north of Brewham Road, Bruton. This site has been identified by the District Council as a preferred allocation for new residential development at the town within the emerging Local Plan. It is Southern and Regional Developmentā€™s objective to deliver a sympathetic development that will provide much needed affordable, family homes within the town that reflect the local and historic character of Bruton. Please contact Claremont Planning using the details provided in the leaflet to provide your views and feedback on the development by 9 September 2019”

Comments on this post will NOT be submitted to Claremont.

Let the District Council know your views at the Community Hall this Thursday 15 August, 4 pm to 7 pm, when there will be a public drop-in section. This is likely to be the only chance to talk face-to-face to the staff in South Somerset District Council who are putting the Local Plan together.

You can read the plans for Bruton here, and view a map of the proposed development area here.

To find out more about the Local Plan, comment in writing, and read the full document go to South Somerset District Council’s consultation page here.
