Since the 29th of March Bruton Food Drop has been supplying weekly food deliveries to people that have been financially affected by Covid 19. There are many people in and around Bruton who have lost their income entirely and are not eligible for financial support from the government until mid June at the earliest. These people are in crisis and need help.

So far Bruton Food Drop has delivered over 330 food packages. A package consists of enough food and basic essentials, toilet roll etc for one person for one week. Many local businesses, St Mary’s Church, Bruton, private individuals, community groups and both Somerset Community Foundation and the Town Council have supported them.

They currently need about £1000 a week to feed and provide essential items to these people.

They anticipate having to continue for at least six more weeks, quite possibly longer.

Please help Bruton Food Drop to help them!

Bruton Food Drop are a Council backed team of volunteers providing the service to people living in and around Bruton, Somerset.
