Last weekend, the Government announced a new national Lockdown to limit the ‘second wave’ of Coronavirus. The new restrictions are scheduled to run for four weeks, from Thursday 5 November, to (at least) Wednesday 2 December, and are very similar to those during the first national Lockdown from Spring to early Summer.

Bruton’s exemplary community resilience was demonstrated during the first Lockdown. Our Food DropLocal Information LineNeighbours’ Support Pods  and Phone Buddies all continue to operate, and stand ready for greater local needs. One Planet Bruton have updated the Information on shops and services available in town, including the pharmacy and deliveries of food.

However, the latest restrictions have sadly forced us to close the Community Office. If you or your family need any information or help, please check this website, or call our Coronavirus Local Resources phone line (01749 717002). Do not feel afraid to ask. Please also do think what you can do to help your neighbours, and sign up to the Town’s Volunteer network if you find that you have time and skills that could help others.
