The Town Council is delighted to announce the launch of our new walks website. We are fortunate to live in such attractive rural surroundings. The new website aims to help everyone make the most of it (even if there is rather a lot of mud around at the moment).

There are detailed directions and maps for eight walks of varying lengths on the site at the moment, with downloadable maps and route guidance. Also on the site are links to all the old footpaths leaflets that were available from the Community Office. New walks will be added regularly once they have been walked, mapped and double-checked by the Footpaths Working Group.

It’s likely that at some point in the nearish future we will be looking for additional help with things like checking the condition of footpaths, doing light clearing work and so on. If you think you might be interested in helping please speak to either Cllr James Hood or Community Development Officer Eve Anderton.
