Following a successful bid to Somerset County Council’s Climate Emergency Community Fund, and the recruitment of our retrofit assessor / co-ordinator, we are now looking to recruit a part-time project officer. The retrofit project aims to help local homeowners radically improve the energy performance of their property. (You can read more about the project here).
In this new post, you will provide administrative support to our new professionally qualified retrofit co-ordinator. This could mean dealing with public enquiries, booking appointments, keeping records and preparing presentation and publicity materials, as well as other duties.
You won’t need any specialist knowledge, but you should be a quick and willing learner, with a good general education, and an interest in and commitment to assisting the community in reducing its carbon footprint. You will be a good communicator, and as part of a very small team you will need to be able to use your initiative and be self-motivating.
This post is part-time (14 hours per week, hours worked to be agreed by negotiaton) and graded at SCP 7-12 (£10.44-£11.53 per hour, pay award pending). It is offered for a period of 17 months which may potentially be extended if funding allows. National Joint Council terms and conditions apply.

In order to be considered, your application needs to be with us by 12.00 on Friday 20 August 2021. Email applications to firstname.lastname@example.org
Interviews will take place (probably online) on Tuesday 24 August 2021.
