Celebrating the Jubilee

Bruton is currently decked out in red, white, and blue flags thanks to a wonderful group of volunteers and Bruton Town Council. The town council has also put out a challenge to businesses to decorate their shop windows in a Jubilee theme, many of you may have already decided on your favourites. Thank you to all the businesses who are taking part and the wonderful crafters (Carol Fradley, Clare Mills, Janet Sandford, Jocelyn Crawford, Judy Gallannaugh, Karen Conway, and Val Norton). Thank also to Martin at SLR for putting up the flags.

There is a lot going on over the Jubilee weekend and the Sunday event will be the Big Bruton Picnic Lunch at Jubilee Park. This is running from 11 until 4 and will include tree planting and the official opening of the new play equipment in the Jubilee Park, organised games, and the Jubilee Pantomime Horse Grand National. Bring a picnic and celebrate with your community.
