Somerset Council has launched the first formal consultation on the Somerset Local Plan. The consultation will run from Friday 19 June to Friday 24 July 2026..
This Local Plan is being prepared under a new plan-making system, so the consultation may look a little different from ones you have taken part in before.
We want to hear your views on:
- What matters the Local Plan should cover
- How we should engage with you
- Our proposed vision and outcomes
- The hierarchy of settlements
- Draft spatial strategy options
- The draft Sustainability Appraisal of those options
