In July 2025 planning permission was granted for 49 new dwellings, at Cuckoo Hill, Bruton (planning application reference 24/01651/FUL). Town Council Officers have been notified by the developers that some minor revisions will be made to the house types, which requires the submission of a ‘variation condition’ to Somerset Council Planning. Bruton Town Council will be consulted about the variation condition application in the same way as with any planning application.
