Julie Carey-Downes, Bruton resident, has kindly agreed to give a talk she gives as part of her job as Health Connections Manager at Frome Medical Practice. The talk will cover:
· The effects of extreme weather on older adults
· Risk factors and preventive measures
· Emergency warning signs of heat-related illness and what to look out for as a carer.
Plenty of time for questions!
We are planning a part 2, later in the year, which will cover cold weather and hypothermia risk.
