The Town Council has been made aware of ongoing litter problems on an area of Network Rail land at Plox Bridge, West End, Bruton. Unfortunately, as the site is located behind a locked gate, the Council is unable to arrange litter-picking activities there. While the presence of litter is unsightly, it is not considered a rail safety issue and therefore is not currently a high priority for Network Rail. We would ask everyone using the area to help keep it clean by disposing of rubbish responsibly, using available bins or taking litter home with them. Small actions can make a big difference in keeping our community tidy and attractive for everyone.
