🌳 Community Notice – Upcoming Tree Works in Bruton 🌳
We’d like to let residents know about some planned tree works taking place this month:
📅 Tuesday 10th February 2026
• A Sycamore tree bordering the allotment fields at Cuckoo Hill will have crown reduction.
📅 Friday 13th February 2026
• The Willow tree at Crown Green, along the riverbank, will be reduced at the top to maintain its health and safety.
• A Horse Chestnut tree will be felled due to canker, as it has sadly become unsafe. There are plans later in the year to plant a replacement tree which will be a native species, and will be discussed at a future town committee meeting.
There may be some short-term noise or activity and obstruction for access while the works are carried out. Thank you for your understanding as we help keep our green spaces safe and well cared for 💚
